You wouldn’t read about it.
Yet another Paris Fashion Week, done and dusted.
This time around we felt more prepared than ever, that is until we saw the weather forecast creep up and up and up…and up.
With temperatures of 38°C+ for the duration of the week—to say it was a struggle at times would be a marginal understatement.
Walking, running & biking to over 90 appointments in six days, it was easily our busiest (& hardest) yet.
Schools were closed, trains were down, the internet crashed, air-con's broke down...the city was hanging on by a thread.
All that being said, it goes without saying that it is an absolute privilege to be able to attend year on year and we wouldn't change it for the world.
Runways: More Than Just A Show
Showrooms: Where the Magic Happens
We attended many showings, with some familiar faces alongside some new, all displaying their latest offerings of apparel, footwear and accessories for us to geek out over.
A.PRESSE was a standout, although no surprises here...they had strong options in the outerwear, pant and fleece categories.
Sneak Peak: A New Brand
A new brand we are excited to introduce is Niceness. It’s a Japanese label that we've been eyeing for a while and is just so so nice.
Their approach to craftsmanship, considered materials and vintage-inspired details really stood out to us, with each piece feeling like it has a story behind it.
It's All for the Love of the Game
Although mentally and physically challenging at times, the trip was probably one of our most memorable yet.
We saw some amazing product, checked out some exciting new brands, attended multiple events & shook hands with many UP THERE partners and friends.
We ate, drank, belly-laughed and sweated it all out, so it kinda doesn't count (boy math).
Catch you all at the next one.
