Shiden

Part of the Nepenthes family of brands, Shiden is a newly launched label from the Japanese collective.

Inspired by vintage motorcycles and racing, the design sensibilities combine many Japanese subcultures. From bosozoku to MotoGP, the influence is clear to see.

The term "shiden" is part of the idiom "shiden'issen" (紫電一閃 meaning: violet electricity flash) which refers to a sword flash or a quick brandishing of a sword akin to lightning.
