Our GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1 is inspired by the Japanese term “Natsukashii” which references nostalgia — a feeling of fondness when reminiscing of times past. It brings up memories and feelings that often escape us but bring a sense of warmth when resurfaced.
Countless hours have been spent scrutinising every last detail to achieve what we have with this reinvigoration, with updates to the silhouette that include glossy panels atop mesh from the GEL-KAYANO™ 20—a staple on Australian streets. The standard GEL-KAYANO™ 12 forefoot flex zone has been reimagined with layered mesh and fused detailing in place of the original flat graphic.
Underfoot, the outsole receives a distinct treatment: our signature green flows through the Guidance Line, while Signal Red rubber highlights the instep traction zone.
