This jacket is an absolute masterclass in denim mastery – something Kapital has spent decades perfecting.
Distressing, repairing, patching and reinforcing denim, the level of detail within each garment is almost impossible to document in text or images. Sashiko embroidery criss-crosses the entire jacket, made with a host of different patterns and directions which hold together multiple patches and repairs. This technique has been employed by working class Japanese people for generations as a way of extending the life of treasured garments.
When it comes to Kapital, expect the unexpected. But also expect the regular return of their favourite brand motifs, including Virgin Mary of course. Unlike previous seasons’ indigo offerings, this new release is presented in gray-beige.
