Angelo Baque is certainly a name we should all be familiar with working with the likes of Stussy, Nom De Guerre, and Supreme before spearheading his latest Awake. The New York native has taken to some of Asics’ silhouettes in the past under the Awake name, but this time around Baque is stepping into the spotlight himself and taking to the Gel-Kayano 14 under his own name.

The Gel-Kayano 14 emerged in 2008 designed for long distances, and outfitted with Asics’ signature Gel cushioning technology for next level of comfort whether you’re running or strolling the streets. As Asics continue to blur the lines of fashion and function with their classic running shoes Baque adds his twist to the classic silhouette with attention drawing pops of colour with splashes of blue, orange, green, and yellow wrapping the upper alongside hits of black and metallic finishes. Lastly Baque adds his stamp to finish it all off with his namesake set at the heel in Awake NY’s signature type.

Pairs will release through our online store this coming Friday the 13th of August from 12am AEST.

Sizes US7 through to US13 (including some half sizes) will be available for $240AUD.
