Arguably one of the most exciting additions to UP THERE's armory, we're proud to welcome, A.PRESSE— a Japanese label founded in 2021 by Kazuma Shigematsu. Guided by the philosophy of “designing without designing,” A.PRESSE embodies a quiet exclusivity.

At a glance, the collection reads as a refined curation of classic-leaning workwear and military-inspired silhouettes, infused with Americana and Japanese sensibility. And yes, that’s exactly what it is — but look a little closer, and it’s the meticulous fabrication, design principles, and overarching ethos that truly sets them apart. 

Available in-store at Flinders Lane and online, the collection reflects a quiet mastery. Selvedge denim, woven on shuttle looms. Outerwear and shirting subtly treated by hand. Every garment is approached with purpose — not to reinvent, but to elevate. The result is a body of work that feels familiar yet exacting.

We’re also fortunate to offer a selection of “Overseas Exclusive” pieces — produced in limited quantities and available only through a handful of retailers outside Japan. As the sole Australian stockist, we’re proud to present this isolated access.
