After plenty of anticipation, visvim has finally landed at UP THERE. It's a brand we've been excited to bring into the mix for some time, and we're starting with a considered selection of footwear and accessories, with more of the collection to follow.
Visvim's approach to footwear has always been less about chasing novelty and more about obsessing over how a familiar shoe can be made. The Skagway Lo G. Patten is a good example, taking the proportions of a classic low-top canvas sneaker and giving each part of its construction considerably more thought.
The upper is made from Japanese canvas, finished with visvim's original taping detail and a leather lining. Beneath it, a cork insole and cork midsole bring a natural material into the construction, while the Vibram outsole gives the shoe its footing. Each pair is handmade, keeping the focus firmly on the materials and the work that goes into putting them together.
