Niceness is a Japanese label that draws on clothing from different eras and cultures. It reworks archival references through its own approach to materials and pattern-making. The brand places particular emphasis on textile development and craftsmanship, with each collection exploring the details that give clothing its character.
The TRAFFORD takes inspiration from American car coats of the 1960s, reworked through references from British riding jackets of the 1970s and 80s. Ultra-dense cotton moleskin is woven with core-white yarns, allowing the fabric to develop pronounced fading and patina through its aged-effect finish. A bespoke Madras check lining adds contrast inside, while cotton construction carries through the back collar, flap and belt.
