The Mizuno Wave Mustang is back, bringing with it a silhouette that first appeared in 2006 as Mizuno's fourth-generation take on cushioned running. Designed by Tuan Le, the original was built around the kind of chunky, technical look that defined running shoes of the era, and this reissue keeps plenty of that DNA intact.
Oversized mesh and metallic overlays make up the upper, with the TPU RunBird sitting over the side. Underneath, Mizuno's Parallel Wave construction works with U4icX foam for a cushioned ride, bringing the original tooling back into play with a few updates along the way.
