New Balance Lunar New Year 2023

To celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023 – year of the Water Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac, New Balance releases a special edition capsule collection. The special edition release includes the 2002R and 550 silhouettes, created with matching beige and burgundy accents which tie the collection together.

After a stellar 2022, the 2002 continues its march into the next year with these exclusive editions, including a "Refined Future" version which is often referred to as the "Protection Pack" style.

Along with the 2002, one of New Balance's breakout styles of the past few seasons has been the archival basketball style in the 550. Made popular initially by the efforts of Teddy Santis and his brand Aime Leon Dore, the silhouette has since been able to stand alone as a fantastic casual style for those looking to add a sneaker to their rotation that isn't a running shoe.
