Junya Watanabe returns for another season at UP THERE with the Multi Fabrics Patchwork Jacket. This piece is presented in the Japanese designer’s trademark style of cobbled-together inspiration on time-tested designs.
In this case, it’s a simple black zip-through jacket decorated with a multitude of patches that work nicely against the blank canvas. The patches in question come in varied shapes, sizes and patterns, with a sheet of lace over the top to add the dimension element that Junya does so well.
The contrast between the everyday sweat jacket and its detailing is a testament to the artisanal nature of the Japanese brand.
