R is for Retro: adidas Originals kick off their A-ZX series with the re-release of the late 80’s classic the ZX 1000C.

adidas Originals kicks off this year’s A-ZX series with a bang, unveiling the collection with the letter R. Standing for RETRO, the silhouette is a tribute to the brand’s iconic archive, featuring the first ever re-release of the ZX 1000C model from the late 80’s. Maintaining the same colourscheme of the original’s, the sneaker celebrate its legacy with the past. 

A white dual material upper pairing synthetic suede and nylon mesh is complemented by details executed in black and the typical adidas Originals blue for the three-stripes, the heel and the toe-box. The vintage look is brought to the next level with a cream-white outsole, the pastel yellow execution of the Torsion system and the iconic lime green Torsion lacelock. 

Looking into the past, the adidas Originals ZX 1000C RETRO sneaker sets its footprint at the starting block of the A-ZX series and what’s to come.

Pairs will release online from 7am AEST this coming Friday the 7th of August.

Sizes US8 through to US13 (including some half sizes) will be available for $180AUD.
