UP THERE: Let’s start with an introduction, who are you and what do you do?
Hey guys this is TK from South Korea, I’m running a little cafe called Two Conversations in Melbourne CBD.
Tell us about your café, Two Conversations, when did it start and why?
Two Conversations is a tiny little space that anyone can come to, enjoy their coffee and make some conversation whether it's casual or serious. It’s a space for people to interact and connect.
It all started back in the pandemic when everything was shut. One day I was walking around in the city and found this little space that was for lease, and I kinda had a feeling that I could make something out of this place. Everyone told me that I was mad because as you all know it was covid and no one knew when we would be back to normal life again. We were lucky enough that we could manage to open up when all the restrictions were eased. We believed this place would bring all the positive vibes to customers and friends as we all stepped away from the long crisis we had.
I think the Up There team resonate with you guys so much because of your supreme service and you’re all so stylish! Do you think Coffee and Fashion go hand in hand with each other?
We always try hard to provide great service to all of our customers for sure, but the Up There team are our favourite customers (love you all!). Everyone has their own style which is great! (to be honest with you I was a terrible dresser, but since I met the Up There crew I believe I’m a little better than before! Up There crew always inspires me and my fashion!) From a customer perspective, I guess a variety of fashion styles will also entertain them as well.
We regularly see Air Max 1’s on the feet of the team at Two Conversations, what makes the AM1 so good to wear both in and outside of work?
The Air Max 1 is stylish and comfy at the same time! That’s why everyone loves to wear them at work. Also when I was young I always wanted to wear them but it was too pricy for me at that time. It brings back all the memories of my childhood as well which is why I love to wear them.
What do you think of this latest iteration of the Crepe Air Max 1? Does it measure up against the OG from 2004?
The Crepe Air Max 1 is awesome! I know some will be mad if I say this but I like the crepe Air Max 1 better than OG 2004, no offence! It's just me.
What are your hobbies outside of the café?
I do love to play football/futsal. Love camping, and bush walking with my All Conditions Gear from Nike.
And of course, what’s your coffee order?
Tricky question... probably depends on my mood usually among these; Espresso, Filter, Oat Fw and Ice long black.
The Air Max 1 'Crepe will release through our online store this coming Saturday the 25th of February from 12am AEDT.
