Nike’s love affair with Polartec lightweight and supremely warm synthetic fleece fabric dates back to the golden years of the Swoosh’s ACG adventure category, which continues into 2025 with the ‘Wolf Tree’ full-zip hoodie. It’s minimal in weight yet ample in insulation for most reasonable scenarios thanks to said Polartec material delivering warmth from head to waist.
The minimalism continues over in the branding department – except the generous Polartec embroidery on the arm – which perhaps frees up some budget for some thoughtful hardware inclusions, namely the two-way zip placket. The hand pockets are also secured with zippers, saving whatever paraphernalia from falling out mid-hike, or more realistically, strolling down to the local cafe.
