New Balance teams with musical mastermind Aminé to highlight the artist's creative spirit across the 610 silhouette.
The shoe's nickname "Mooz" gives us the answers to where the inspiration flows from. The word ሙዝ [pron. "mooz"] means "banana" in Amharic – a reference to Aminé's father who is Ethiopian along with his mother's Eritrian heritage. With this in mind, the colour palette makes complete sense with the browns and yellows reminiscent of the world's favourite super food.
If that wasn't enough to convince you, then catch the unique "snowglobe" gem towards the collar of the shoe which houses a bunch of bananas suspended in liquid. Told you so...
The 610's rugged looks take well to the shoe, hiding multiple incredible details beneath the custom double-layered mesh and shiny patent overlays. The iridescent gold pods are reflective of Aminé's favourite sunglass lenses, whilst the snap-button on the left shoe's heel-pull allows you to carry both together easily.
