New Balance diversify their lifestyle offering with the U204L. They're designed to emulate the slim-lined structure of 70's running styles whilst simultaneously nodding to NB's other designs, like the 740 and 530 (think Miu Miu).
This colourway comes into the fold thanks to Californian-based streetwear label Basketcase. Dubbed "Run Home" this collaboration takes inspiration from the founder Zach Kinninger who references his upbringing with a colourway that represents his nostalgic feelings for the combination of jeans and hiking boots. It's crafted from a luxurious nubuck leather upper with overlays that are notably sleek and coincide seamlessly with the colour palette. An EVA midsole prioritises comfort while the outsole is decorated with a rubber dotted traction pattern that is a distinctive design convention of early 2000's running styles.
