Kapital are no strangers to unique processes, but even by their standards the CENTURY DENIM No.9 MONKEY CISCO jeans feature some incredible techniques in production.
A base of cotton denim is dyed 30 times with the tannins of Yeddo Hawthorn tree woodchips and mud. The time-honoured dyeing technique – native to Japan's Amami Oshima islands – employs the area's unique iron-rich mud to create beautiful black/brown shades. The fabric is then woven on customised looms in Hiroshima, further accented with a sashiko linen stitch that adds a unique texture and pattern.
Cut in a regular fit straight cut, the MONKEY CISCO jeans feature a standard five pocket design with a vintage-inspired adjustable cinch at the back to help with getting the perfect fit.
