Two titans from very different worlds converge on this limited edition collaboration. Founded in 1966, Vans quickly eschewed its boating endavours for a life as a skateboarding and indie icon in America, then the world. When establishing A Bathing Ape® in 1993, Nigo drew from his love of iconic Americana, re-working it from a modern perspective.
A match made in heaven, the Sk8-Hi Bolt's unique vulcanised midsole matches perfectly to the famed Bape® "Sta" motif which has adorned so many A Bathing Ape® sneakers over the decades.
The uppers feature a classic Vans combination of suede and canvas – the latter being printed with a brushstroke variation of the famous Bape® First Camo. The colour palette is kept pretty traditional, with a classic woodland camouflage combination of greens and browns. A pop of colour comes from the Jazz Stripe and AAPE® branding, both dressed in a hot pink contrast.
