If you've owned enough suede shoes then you know that in reality, cleaning them can sometimes feel futile. A large reason for that is suede's general distaste for getting wet. We've all been there before – you have a small mark on your suede sneakers, you whip out the cleaning solution and before you know if you've got a pair of shoes that look worse than before.
Chances are you needed the Jason Markk Suede Kit. This liquid-free kit includes a Suede Brush and Eraser. The brush is soft, the are bristles shared with the standard Premium Brush but the handle is Beech Wood and more suitable for the type of brushing you want to do on suede. It's great for getting off dirt and also bringing back the nap – nerd speak for fuzziness – of the suede.
The latex crepe eraser is there for more stubborn marks which the brush can't get out completely. It's tougher but still relatively gentle on the suede and still better than soaking them in liquids. The two systems in combination are going to get 90% of the dirt out of suede and for the last bit you can either suck it up or carefully get to work with cleaning solution.
- The Suede Cleaning Brush is perfect for bringing the nap back after you’ve cleaned suede
- The eraser works great on cleaning vulcanised midsoles on Vans shoes
