SL 72 RS - Blue/Core White-Better Scarlet
Originally launched in 1972 for the Munich Olympics, the SL-72 was a favourite amongst runners for both training and race use. In a 1975 article, market research found over 16% of people surveyed were running in the model. Given the modern day maximalist running shoes it's wild to consider this is the shoe people were throwing on for a run in the '70s.
Re-issued in it's original colours, the latest version of the SL-72 has been re-worked for more comfortable daily wear. The toebox has been re-shaped for a more comfortable fit (an issue runners even complained about in the '70s) and the midsole has slightly more cushioning to save your ankles when you're on your feet all day. These updates only serve to make the SL-72 a better shoe so you can better enjoy those classic lines.
