Country OG - Metallic Silver/Bright Blue-Footwear White
Released in 1973, the adidas Country was – at the time – a cutting edge trail running shoe. Some forty years later the world of off-road running has progressed somewhat but the Country lives on as a fashion silhouette thanks to a dedicated following in Japan. From the first French-made pairs to modern-day retro's – the Country has always garnered attention from our Asia-Pacific friends.
The silver and blue colourway of this pair is reminiscent of a different adidas silhouette released a decade after the Country first broke cover. The futuristic combo featured on the Micropacer – adidas' high-tech sneakers with a lace shroud that carried a 'microcomputer' which wasn't much more than a fancy pedometer. How times have changed...
