Introduced as a training shoe, the adidas Taekwondo Mei was quickly adopted as a street-worth piece of footwear. Its low-profile design allows these to blend into an outfit, becoming part of a homogenous look rather than a statement piece.
That's all undone by this pair's incredibly bold ponyhair uppers made with a cow print. There's nothing particular homogenous about that unless you're regularly dressing in full cattle-core.
The signature serrated stripes run the entire circumference of the midfoot, wrapping under and around. This feature reveals the split sole design, allowing for fantastic range of motion if you ever intend to use these for their original taekwondo-centric purpose.
