Scout Boot - CFS Black Waxy Commander
Based on the heritage Viberg 10" Hunter Boot from the 1950s, Scout is a modernised version for urban use. Initially launched in 2010 to the Japanese market, the Scout Boot was cut down to 6" and equipped with details that made it more practical for everyday wear.
The uppers are constructed from Waxy Commander suede produced by British tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. – a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. Using bovine hide, the suede shrinks up to 25% during the unique CFS technique. The hide is tanned without any pigment – the same way all C.F. Stead leathers are tanned – with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. This boot features a Christy EVA sole provided by outsole masters Vibram®.
