Halkett Derby Boot - CFS Flint Calf Suede
The Halkett is a higher cut boot from Viberg inspired by Canadian Officer boots from the 1940s. The closely cut throat allows the boot to be laced up super tight for a more formal look compared with the iconic Service Boot®.
Constructed from buttery Janus Calf from Charles F. Stead & Co. tannery in the UK, these boots are a lesson in decadence. This suede is produced from young calf skins with a luxurious silky suede side and a natural full grain, aniline reverse. C.F. Stead calls this the finest suede available and we're inclined to believe them given their 90+ years of experience.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A Viberg leather "chassis" provides the back bone to which a Dainite outsole is attached for hard-wearing and replaceable service.
