SK8-Hi x Bianca Chandôn - Black/Grey

American skate imprint Bianca Chandôn teams with Vans to create a collection which pays homage to the long history of Vans in skateboarding. Each model is produced with a full canvas upper – no different to the pairs being worn by long-haired, free spirited kids surfing the sidewalks in the 1970's. The star pattern is drawn from archival references, giving the models an authentic period-correct feeling. Each shoe sports a heavily distressed finish, giving the perfect lived-in look without all of the funky smells.

Possibly the style most synonymous with skateboarding and Vans, the SK8-Hi was literally made for it. Taking the popular sole unit from their boat shoes, the uppers on 'Style 38' were cut high to give more ankle support. "The proof is in the pudding" as they say, and a quick look through skateboarding magazines from the 1980s will prove just how successful this shoe was.
