SK8-Mid VLT LX x Palm Angels - Black/Chipmunk

Before creating his brand in 2015, Italian designer Francesco Ragazzi made a book with Rizzoli entitled "Palm Angels" as a love letter the Los Angeles skate scene – his home for almost half of his life. The forward for this book was written by Pharrell Williams – someone who Ragazzi had worked with at his role as art director for Moncler. The theme of collaboration would continue through Palm Angels the brand, growing it into the brand we now know. Catapulting off the back of Ragazzi's drive to work with other creatives previously overlooked by fashion's in-crowd.

For this collaboration with Californian footwear manufacturers Vans, Palm Angels makes reference to the West Coast skate scene that inspired not just the label's name, but it's very inception. Spanning across a trio of classic silhouettes, typical Vans materials of canvas and suede are intermixed with the iconic chequerboard pattern and a grungy stylistic flair for which Palm Angels has become known.
