Madras Shirt - Multi
A big motivation for Thomme is the idea of repurposing deadstock and unused fabrics. By taking otherwise discarded materials and giving them a new life, it stops them from being put into landfill.
This shirt is a boxy short sleeve with a button-down collar, cut from madras check fabric. Authentic Madras fabrics are a protected artefact which adheres to a strict set of rules. Although technically any fabric that fits the criteria can bear the name, it’s the vibrant checks that come to mind when we talk about Madras today.
