Skidgrip Low - Oli Green/Malachite Green
After its reintroduction earlier this year with the help of Fear Of God’s Jerry Lorenzo, Converse's Skidgrip is back with a rugged and rough, outdoor-ready rendition in both low and high formats. Coming to us in mismatched olive, safari, and biscotti colourways, both the low and hi-cut silhouettes are pieced together with subtly waxed duck canvas, cotton drills, and herringbone twills.
Converse’s Skidgrip was formerly called Circular Vamp Oxford (CVO for short), and although it was released in 1910 it only really became something notable in the ’60s when its no-slip sole was favoured by many. In the ’80s, BMX, surfing, and skateboarding cultures adopted the sneaker making the shoe particular popular in South California.
