Hawaiian Shirt - Black
Given the orSlow catalogue we can't say that a Hawaiian shirt was something we were expecting to see, but now that it's here we're stoked it exists! Japan has a close affinity with Hawaii – the island nation-come American state played host of many Japanese migrants who chose to call it home. Through that cultural exchange the Aloha shirt – an item with significance to the Hawaiian people – combined with Japanese traditional fabrics used in kimono making, creating the blueprint for the "Hawaiian shirt" look we know and love. In this way, it actually makes complete sense for orSlow to be making a Hawaiian shirt.
Made with the traditional '50s Rayon textile which proliferated the Hawaiian shirt boom, this is printed in an unusual black colour with an intricate floral pattern that resembles a more traditional design for this style.
