Womens Dunk High LX - Pistachio/Midnight Navy

The 'See Through' concept Nike has been implementing lately is a novel way of referencing the history of their basketball silhouettes. We've seen it on the Air Force 1 already and now the Dunk High gets the treatment. Much like the AF1, the simple uppers of the Dunk allow it to wear a broad range of colours with ease, resulting in a whole bunch of iconic colourways from the last 30+ years of releases.

For this pair, the uppers are made in Navy Blue and Pistachio Green leather, itself a bring-back of a rare 2003 Dunk High release. The cutout sections reveal extra layers of homage, with three different Dunk Lows given a shout-out.

Around the toe, green and yellow reference 2001's Brazil Dunk Low. Familiar blue and white is lifted from the recently retro'd co.jp Dunk Low 'Argon' which originally released in 2001. The orange on the heel, finished in nubuck, is the final shoutout which throws it back to 2001's Dunk Low 'Ceramic', another of the co.jp releases.

If you forget all that, there's a little cheat sheet to help you remember. That said, we actually managed to ID all of these ourselves, except for the Ceramics because the OGs actually had suede not nubuck.
