Womens Air Force 1 '07 LX - Summit White/Black-Muslin

After pumping out the killer women's exclusives all 2022 Nike's roll continues with another womens-only Air Force 1. This time the design team dug into the archives and pulled out a doozy of a reference – the Nike Air Command Force.

For those unfamiliar, the Command Force was Nike's competitor to the wildly popular Reebok Pump line. Even the masters of Air were caught slipping when the 'Bok crew shoved a pump in their top-of-the-line sports models. The Air Command Force was one of only two attempts Nike had at taking on the mighty Pump, and it failed spectacularly. Depending on who you talk to it was either overweight, unreliable or victim to a nasty court battle. Regardless of the reason, the Air Command Force lives on in infamy as an icon born out of failure.

Even so, their appearance on the feet of Billy Hoyle – played by Woody Harrelson – in the film White Men Can't Jump cemented the Command Force into cultural folklore. So what's any of this got to do with a pair of Air Force 1s? One look at the font on the tongue and we knew exactly what was going on...
