Air Max 97 OG - Metallic Silver/University Red/Black

A shoe which never ages – Christian Tresser's 1997 masterpiece continues to be one of the most beloved models in the Air Max lineage some 25 years on. Not bad considering that within a few months, the Air Max Plus – TN's to Aussies – superseded it!

A short-lived stint at the top didn't stop the AM97 from becoming an icon – the full-length bubble and Bullet Train inspired uppers still feel fresh to this day. Nike has been keeping the 25th anniversary of the AM97 pretty low-key, dropping a few colours here and there throughout the year.

They saved the best 'til last though, whipping out the famed 'Silver Bullet' OGs. The original and arguably best colourway for the Air Max 97, the Silver Bullets have maintained legend status in subcultures across the world for over two decades. From the metallic silver uppers with lashings of reflective details to the full-length Air Max bubble – these are a cult classic.
