Air Force 1 Low 'West Indies' - White/Classic Green
2022's been quite a year for the humble Air Force 1. It's 40 years since it released in 1982 and 20 years later, this particular pair dropped. Nike celebrates the AF1 'West Indies' moving out of its teenage years with a re-issue. Originally released to honour New York's West Indian Day Parade – which takes place on the first Monday in September – in total Nike made four versions of the West Indies AF1 between 2002 and 2005.
For the anniversary Nike pay tribute to the OG from '02. The shoe is largely unchanged from the first release, with the same white uppers accented with green. The heels wear the correct embroidery and even the lining is the same big mesh Nike used on a bunch of AF1s during the early aughts. The only identifying feature is the '40th Anniversay' tongue label.
