We've made no attempts to hide our love to the 990v3. It's clear that of all the 99x series models these hold a soft spot in our hearts – we even incorporated details from it into our own "Backyard Legends" 2002R! Given the constant stream of releases on this model we're going to assume someone at NB is a fan of the ol' v3 as well.

This here is what we'd describe as the archetypical New Balance sneaker: a grey, high quality, everyday shoe made in the USA. We're not alone in thinking; no matter how many collabs and special colourways are released, the original grey is still the best colour you can put on any New Balance silhouette. BUT, grey's not for everyone and New Balance did eventually relent over the years to offer the 99x series in other colours. One such example is the Navy Blue version seen here, which was part of the 990v3's initial launch colours back in 2012.

These very rarely hang around long at all, so if you've missed out on previous drops you'd be remiss to wait any longer before getting a pair (or two) for your rotation.
