New Balance continues to cement its place as the brand dropping the most consistently strong colourways at the moment. Each recent drop features a common thread through colours, materials and/or execution. For this latest range the 990GB2 is paired with the 990WG1 and 990TO3.

The M990GB2 is based on the 990v2 silhouette. Once considered the ugly duckling 99x, recent times have seen the chunky runner get the respect it deserves. This version wears the same colour palette of the other members of the trio. Sat atop the mesh uppers are overlays of olive grey suede intersected with accents in dark navy blue. The heel sports a rough-cut suede in beige for both colour and texture contrast. The final touch comes from a dotting of reflective details.
