Returning for another link-up, New Balance teams with Korean imprint thisisneverthat to create a custom version of the BB550 silhouette inspired by '90s fashion trends.

The washed canvas uppers are finished in a suitably dull brown, which is accented with black — from the signature N to the rubber outsole. Black soles are something that really fell out of vogue at the turn of the century and we're not sure why. Whatever the reasons, thisisneverthat make a good case for revisiting it again.

Details are kept relatively basic, with the N featuring a cracked effect that echoes the vintage-like details seen previously on their 1906R and 2002R releases. Anyone who has a pair of previousl collabs will also recognise the particular teal hue of the insole.
