As the name might suggest, the inspiration for this MHL. shirt from Margaret Howell comes from archival workwear. The sturdy overshirt design draws from the type of shape you might see on a boiler suit, with a straight cuff and boxy silhouette allowing for layers underneath.

The brushed cotton plain weave fabric has roots in utilitarian garments which have served the workers of the world for decades. The large corozo-buttoned patch pocket on the chest houses a pen pocket. Be a contrarian, carry a pen and pad – a small Moleskine should fit in that pocket.
