Fulling Wool Scarf VILLAGE GABBEH - Red
GABBEH is the name for a particular kind of Persian carpet; a GABBEH rug has a simple design, hand knotted with pure wool dyed naturally, finished with a thick pile. GABBEH carpets were originally made by women from Qashgai tribes of south-western Persia.
KAPITAL have taken the look of GABBEH and devised a way to replicate it with their looming processes to weave this wool scarf. The graphics depict a village with crops and livestock. The weaving technique leaves the thin wool with distinct textures from the figures and patterns.
