19 Century BD Shirt - Olive Small Seersucker Plaid
The 19 Century Shirt is a bit of an oversized shirt/smock type of situation. This classic Engineered Garments silhouette has been in the range for years and in that time has grown a fanbase. The airy fit, with a curved hemline that has deep side vents allow it to be worn over the top of just about anything.
Adding to the airiness on this particular version is the use of a cotton seersucker fabric. Traditionally seen in warmer climates, the technique originates from arab nations. The word originates from the Persian words shîr (شیر) and shakar (شکر) – meaning "milk and sugar", from the gritty texture ("sugar") on the smooth ("milk") cloth.
