Jack Purcell Low x CLOT - White/Black

Teaming up with Edison Chen's own CLOT brand, Converse celebrates the Giant Panda – one of China's most beloved animals. This once-endangered species has become symbolic of the great nation. Thanks to years of activism, they have also become a poster child of efforts to save species from man-made extinction.

With such an iconic animal, there are elements to the "Panda recipe" which are a given: it's got to be black and white and it'll need to have some sort of fluffy element. Thanks to the relative simplicity of Converse silhouettes, heavy use of texture won't overwhelm the shoe. in this case, the uppers are constructed with hair-on-hide leather – sometimes referred to colloquially as 'pony hair' – along with faux fur polyester fleece.

The rest of the design is kept relatively simple, allowing you to appreciate the tonal textures. A final detail comes from the outsole which is co-moulded with a contrasting colour to form a panda's paw print.
