Checkerboard Cardigan - Brown/Cream
Oh boy the wordplay potential...
Checkserboard, Checksmate, Checksered flag – it's too much!
Now that's out of the system let's look at this cardigan from Checks. Constructed from a Checkserboard [sorry] pattern which is intarsia knit. Intarsia differs from other knitting techniques because it's almost like a jigsaw or patchwork, where each colour is interlocked with the next. It works perfectly on this sweater thanks to the blocky squares of chocolate brown and cream cotton yarn.
Checks have made cardi's for a few seasons now so the fit is on-point with a relaxed silhouette that avoids that dreaded tightness a lot of other brands tend to lean towards. This is helped in party by the weight of the knit as well. It's finished with a couple of pockets on the waist and wood buttons for some low-brow vibes.
- Intarsia knit pattern
