Bernhard Boot - CFS Eco Veg Fallow
The Bernhard Boot is an oddity in the Viberg range. Created after years of development and sampling, the initial inspiration for these was a rare 1920s boot in the personal collection of Brett Viberg. The name 'Bernhard' comes from Viberg founder Edwin Bernhard Viberg to which this boot is dedicated. This boot pays homage to the pre-depression era and the circumstances that led to the formation of the bootmaker. The design features several unique details, including reverse seams on the quarters, an apron toe and custom crepe outsoles.
The uppers are constructed using Eco-Veg Roughout a soft suede from UK tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. – a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. This specially tanned leather is metal-free, sourced from grass-fed stock local to C.F. Stead and the finished product is biodegradable pursuant.
Sitting below these lush suede uppers is a custom made crepe sole, which offers a much softer cushioned feel compared to a classic hard sole.
