Inspired by the natural world, the palette of the GEL-1130 MK II nods to the beauty of glaciers — a natural phenomenon which are sadly disappearing. Wide-open breathable mesh and hairy suede paneling coated in shades of birch white, with deep soil brown accents to contrast. The haunting blue of glacial ice is tucked inside the sockliner, hinting more directly at the inspiration.

The GEL-1130 MK.III 'GLACIER' celebrates ASICS' innovative technology fused with the HAL STUDIOS "Design Thinking" ideology. Following the approach of the MK.I release and MK.II, the third iteration continues the "maximal minimalism" ethos by reducing the usual characteristics and aesthetics of a traditional sports shoe. Instead, the design accentuates the retro-futuristic form and shape of the archival running silhouette through the pairing of contrasting textures and tones.
