The adidas Triest is another in the long-line of bringbacks from the City Series. A range from the 1970s that birthed numerous legends, the Triest is a cult classic that had not seen the light of day since the original release.

Rather than attempting to pass these off as an original pair, adidas avoided embarrassment and embraced the contemporary nature of the retro. The classic gold foil name is rendered in green, which may seem like a mistake. In reality adidas noticed archival pairs had oxidised, turning the foil green – they replicated this in homage to collector mentality.

As part of their new push towards a reduction of environmental impact, the uppers also incorporate recycled materials. A small but positive step towards taking a more ethical approach to footwear production.
