HU NMD - Focus Orange/Core Black
Initially releasing back in 2016, the adidas HU NMD is the creation of the ongoing partnership between the brand and artist Pharrell Williams. When it launched, the world went crazy for the release of the silhouette, which came at the peak of BOOST-mania. The simple Primeknit uppers sit on top of a slab of squishy foam, with only a few extra features to break the flow of the sock-like upper. The large piece of real estate has acted as a canvas for multiple ideas: from the "HUMAN RACE" originals to a very rare Chanel collab, BBC logos and plenty more.
This version uses a different approach, applying a pattern rather than text or logos. The print in question is a classic in the fashion world: leopard spots. A camouflage created by nature, much like man-made camo leopard print seems to go with just about anything. The over-the-top looks of this pattern fall into the "doesn't go with anything so therefor it goes with everything" category. Rather than just leaving it at that, the rest of the shoe features a mix of bright colours, adhering to the "more is more" ethos.
