Steve Pant - Navy Stripe/Check Combo Wool Cotton

Angelo says these pants are "inspired by an American actor", which isn't very difficult to decipher if you're familiar with the icons of mens fashion. He is of course, referring to Steve McQueen – whose Hollywood fame pales in comparison to the posthumous #menswear obsession with his style. This style is based off a very particular white canvas trouser the actor was fond of. If you go looking for pictures of McQueen, you'll quickly come across images of him wearing these slim, often well-worn pants.

Of course 4SDesigns is not about replicas, indeed plenty of mid-tier menswear brands have already done that. Instead Angelo drew inspiration from that distinctive shape and then updated it with 4SD attention-to-detail and immaculate Italian fabrics. This pair is constructed from a Navy Blue heavy wool/cotton jersey from Dondi. On alternating panels the trousers switch between a pinstripe and window pane check. Thanks to the subtle pattern and matching colours – for us, this is a signature of Urrutia's years spent at Engineered Garments.
