Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro FIBA

While all your favourite players might be pulling out of the FIBA competition, Nike certainly are not!

With this year’s competition taking place in China, these latest Jordan 12 Retros draw from the host country’s signature vibrant colours for their accents. Pops of regal metallic gold are spread across the top two lace loops/midfoot badge, and bright red is used for detailing on the throat, tongue, and sockliner. All of these accents are then brought together by a crisp white tumbled leather base, which also features a tonal flag print on the mudguard. Gold Chinese characters grace the red heel tab, and an outsole with a black, and red carbon fibre midfoot plate to complete the elegant yet, sporty jumpman.

Pairs will release through our online store at midnight 12am this coming Friday the 23rd of August.

Sizes US8 through to US13 (including some half sizes) will be available for $270AUD.

Nike Cortez '72 Shoe Dog Pack

Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight‘s “Shoe Dog” memoir is a fascinating look into both Knight’s life and the early days of his company. Nike pay homage to some interesting parts of his memoirs with the latest Cortez '72 'Shoe Dog Pack'.

Picking apart one of the most interesting of Knight’s tales, the pack brings to life a trifecta of of the Cortez both acknowledging the obvious final choice and nods to two lesser-known brand names that didn’t make the cut (Dimension Six and Peregrine). Each shoe is dressed in a classic red (heavily detailed embroidery), white, and blue colour scheme that’s true to the original 1972 release and each also features an ultra-slim cut, thin midsole, and premium leather upper.

The Nike-centric pair features designer Carolyn Davidson’s original slim swoosh on its side, while the Dimension Six opts for a blue panelling overlaid with a red circle and type-set. The Peregrine pair then uses a swift red falcon graphic with gold text on its top wing.

You also may notice that each pair features a toe cap, toebox overlay, and heel pull tab, embellishments that are not present on modern-day Cortez releases. This is because the original ’72 Cortez in fact drew inspiration from Onitsuka Tiger and their Corsair, a shoe that Knight and Bill Bowerman helped create and were still distributing for the Japanese brand under their “Blue Ribbon Sports” label during the early days of Nike.

These interesting pieces of Nike history have been brought to life and will be available at 12am through our online store this coming Wednesday the 24th of July.

All three pairs will be available in sizes US7.5 through to US12 (including some half sizes) for $170AUD.
