With the regularity and popularity of just about every adias model released recently, there is no doubting the brands position atop the sports-leisure mantle and they are showing no signs of slowing down.
As is the case with most design disciplines, the fusion of old and new is a technique that can render unparalleled results. The respect offered to something of age and heritage is juxtaposed with economically and/or visually superior technology. It is from this combination of old and new that Iniki Runner Boost was born. If it wasn’t for the technology underfoot, the Iniki would look like any classic 70’s ear running shoe. A full Boost midsole delivers re-energising comfort which powers every stride, delivering unbelievable cushioning that is virtually unrivalled in the sneaker game.
For the Iniki’s debut release adidas have opted for two classic and timeless colour-ways, a solid Colligate Navy and a head-turning warm red. featuring a paneled construction of two-way stretch mesh with vintage suede overlays, finished with a shiny-mesh tongue, pays homage to classic runner constructions, whilst printed serrated 3-stripes marks reimagine an essential component of adidas heritage. The Iniki then offers total evolution, utilizing a concealed sock-fit design, OrthoLite sockliner and the aforementioned Boost midsole unit. Subtle details such as copper-tipped laces and a gum rubber tooling completes the contemporary-classic design, creating an authentic unity of the old and new.
