Converse X Ambush CT70 Rubber Boot Hi

Unboxing the latest Converse collaboration with Ambush, and their re-crafted Chuck Taylor 1970 Rubber Boot.

Originally founded as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in 1908, ten rubber galoshes, Converse’s first products, were produced on April 30, 1909. Tactical products such as leather duck hunting boots, wading boots, military footwear would be created throughout the brand’s history.

On a trip to the Converse archive in Charlestown, MA, one silhouette acutely captured Yoon’s discerning eye: the Extreme Cold Weather Boot. Affectionately known by the moniker “bunny boot”, the Extreme Cold Weather Boot is a rubber military boot first developed in the 1950s and once produced by Converse. With its heightened platform midsole, the Chuck 70 is clad in embellished rubber layering with extra height layered in the midsole. Overt external instructions define an aesthetic informed by the functional construction of the bunny boot and are complemented by bold Ambush branding on the silhouette’s futuristic heel.

Pairs will be releasing through our online store at midnight 12am AEDT Wednesday Morning the 23rd of October.

Sizes Men’s US5 or Women’s US7 through to Men’s US12 or Women’s US14 (whole sizes only) will be available for $200AUD.

Converse X Takahiro Miyashita's The Soloist ERX

In his latest collaboration with Converse, Takahiro Miyashita's The Soloist explores American society through three convergent style genres – rock, basketball and militaristic workwear. Takahiro applied his uniquely recognizable aesthetic to the Converse ERX silhouette. For a modern take on tactical wear, he emphasized the on-off wearability through its workwear-inspired aesthetic and defiant zipper application. The resilient triple-black premium leather upper features suede accents and mismatched eyelets on its removable zipper guard. Completing the transformation, a transparent rubber outsole reads “Hello! I am The Soloist. Hello! Hello! Hello!”

Pairs will be releasing online at 12am ADST (midnight) 9th March 2019.

Sizes US7 through to US12 (whole sizes only) will be available for $250AUD.
