Converse Clot Chuck Taylor 70 + Jack Purcell

After an exciting exploration of the polar landscape, lifestyle brand CLOT has teamed up with Converse on two classic styles, reinvented with cozy, cool arctic elements.

On a bold expedition to the North Pole, CLOT found inspiration for new Chuck 70 and Jack Purcell designs, with sherpa materials like faux fur and chic neutral colors influenced by the look of polar bears. It’s a collection designed to brave the cold in style.

Both silhouettes will release in store and online this coming Saturday the 2nd of February.

Chuck 70 will be available in sizes US6 through to US12 (whole sizes only) for $160AUD.

Converse X Brain Dead

Converse and Brain Dead come together on a capsule collection bringing Brain Dead's signature graphic designs and bold prints together with an archive of patterns mashed up atop the 1970's Chuck Taylor.

Converse’s first graphic pattern was introduced in 1983, a camouflage print applied to the Chuck Taylor All Star. Glow-in-the-dark animal prints followed in 1988, and a patriotic American Flag print in 1992. Brain Dead have taken to these archives mixing and matching them against the 1970's silhouette. These prints were mashed together to create a bold and energizing graphic statement that connects to designer Kyle Ng’s vision that his brand 'Is Not One Person, Nor Is It One Idea'.

The collection, anchored in Converse graphic prints, is interpreted across footwear, apparel and accessories, which are stylized as if they were a mix of fabrics and prints seen scattered on a factory floor. Each pair features asymmetrical screen printing on the upper and text detail on foxing tape that reads: ͞To see and be seen as far as the eye can see. Who Controls the Control Men.

Alongside the 1970's Chuck Taylor, sits a long sleeve and short sleeve duo of graphic tees.

The collection will release this coming Friday the 26th of October. Releasing from 11am at our Lower Grounds Basement 15 McKillop Street store. Remaining pairs will be available online later the same day.

The Chuck Taylor will be available in sizes US7 through to US12 (whole sizes only) for $140AUD.

Short sleeve tees will be $60AUD, and long sleeve tees $70AUD in sizes S to XL.

Converse X Vince Staples 'Big Fish Theory' Chuck Taylor 1970

Converse and Vince Staples celebrate Big Fish Theory in the first collaborative capsule collection between the brand and artist, applying the album’s motifs onto the 1970’s Chuck Taylor high and low.

The collection’s key colorway, orange, is a nod to the goldfish on his album cover. This bright colour contrasts the collection’s darker tones to make for highly visible gear. Both the Hi and Ox Chuck 70s are built with an aquarium sockliner, Big Fish Theory graphic outsole and “Vince Staples” embroidered on the medial collar. The Chuck 70 Hi boasts a “Big Fish” screen print in orange that stands out against the sneaker’s black tongue.

A common design element throughout the collection is the “SEA” graphic, a tribute to Staples’ signature brand and successful Beats 1 podcast, Section Eight Arthouse Broadcast System. The “SEA” of the Chuck 70s is 3D printed onto the heel with the “A” placed to cross with the heel stay and transfer onto the foxing tape.

Both pairs will be releasing this Friday the 26th of January exclusively online through a midnight release at 12AM AEST at www.uptherestore.com

Any remaining pairs will release in-store on Saturday the 27th from 11am.

Sizes US7 through to US12 (whole sizes only) will be available for $150.

Until Friday we’ll leave you with all of the finer details after the jump...
